URBAN DECAY Book of shadows VOL II

Went Boots again, could not resist the new Urban Decay book of shadows Vol II! I wanted to get it the previous time, don't know why I did not. Anyways, I have used it already on Halloween to do a Barbie look on my friend...they have 7 new colors in it that you cannot get on any of their palettes or mono shadows...which was one of the reasons for getting it! The colors on it are awesome, with shades of greens & blues, blacks & greys, beige & golds, pinks & purples and as always all are pearls and shimmers! The new ones are NYLON (dirty gold), MUSHROOM (brownish grey), AC/DC (black purple), SPHYNX (Barbie pink with glitters), JINX (dark sea blue), HOMEGROWN (golden olive green), MISDEMEANOR (greenish grey). It comes with a little book as well with several looks using the palette. I also got the new Ink for Eyes in BINGE (dark navy), a cream eyeliner/shadow. Again, I intend to do a review on most of these new products I bought to share what I think of them...till then.

Boots Haul- Prestige, Ruby&Millie,BarryM,Bourjois.

Right, so I accidentally decided to go into Boots today just to check out what Xmas things are in!? I think last years Christmas stock was better in Boots than this year. However I was loving the whole Christmas/Wintry feel...reminds me of past winters...
Anyways, down to the main focus...I bought some products today, but I have not really tried any of them yet, which I can't wait to!...starting with liners/pencils from Prestige, this is the first time I am trying anything from Prestige, I don't know why I never thought of getting anything from there! Something about it did not attract me...but looks aren't everything...just gotta try the products. I was after some good white eye pencil (i have many, but none i am satisfied with) so the sales woman showed me Prestige, so I tried it...it seems pretty promising...it wasn't too dry or too soft either, just right (blendable but lasting, i am hoping)...so yeh...looking forward to using that. Next got this really sweet little punkish rock themed pack of minerals-Scarlett & Crimson RockRules smooth minerals from Ruby&Millie, it has a bronzer, blusher, and a finishing powder comes with this nice looking brush aswell, the handle has red and black art on it...its very entertaining to use these things when applying make-up, and it also comes with mattifying papers, again in this nice punk rock cover. Got aqua gold (92) from Barry M, a color I should have had. Got a couple of things from Bourjois...a highlighting powder (the Delice de Poudre) and a mini tinted lip balm in no.04. Got another highlighting product from Collection 2000-but that is to create a plastics fake skin finish for doll/puppet looks...so yeh not something I would consider using on a normal day to day basis. Lastly got a lip pencil from Boots own brand NO 17 in Fawn...it is this reall nice peachy yet skin toned color with a brightness to it...I intend to use it on my waterline...as it is not as obvious as white...but will still give my eyes that wide awake look...
That is all that is there to my haul...once I have used them all i will do a review...so watch this space..

MAC vs Inglot

In all honesty, as much as I love MAC lipsticks and by far they are of the best quality, I just am not convinced that MAC is overall a good make-up brand. Especially in terms of its price...as recently (this year) after experiencing Inglot I really am sold to their range of eye shadows, the colors are amazing and broad like space! the quality is probably the best I have EVER used, compared to every other brand i.e. Mac, Bobbi brown etc. You just have to use it to see what I am saying here. Their color pay off is just ridiculously amazing, the amount of product you get is just insane for the price you pay(especially when you realize what better of a quality it is compared to MAC), they blend like madness, they stay on all day like freshhh and again the range of colors they do is just insane. Another product of theirs I would like to mention is their gel eye liners...I have used gel eye liners from almost every other brand, and when I compare Inglot's one (considering its price and the amount of product you get) I would rate it 5 star, the best of all. Now those are the only two products I have completely fell in love with compared to almost every other brand I have used so far. However I am not so pleased with their lip paints and lip crayons. The lip paints are more like tinted moisturizers but not as conditioning as lip moisturizers are, these are too greasy. And the lip crayons are just too waxy and dry....however use it with MAC's crème sheen or lustre lipsticks (which I am not a big fan of), but both together work together like a whole new lip product nowhere to be found! Overall I am sold to MAC's lip range (esp. their tinted moisturizers, and matte and satin finish lipsticks) and INGLOT's eye shadows-insanely amazing...
